Queen Helene’s Cocoa Butter works like a miracle. The smell of cocoa and butter actually moisturizes my hands like no other hand cream, which would definitely make Queen Helene the queen of all hand creams (hence the name). Although I am not a big fan of the super watery texture of it, it leaves my hands very soft, supple, and clean for a long while, which is very much needed on long flights. Also, if you have uber dry and sensitive skin like mine, it can be the perfect cure for those unexpected skin blotches or itchiness on your journey. |
I am not a fan of instant shampoo or any instant hair products because it often either dries out my hair or make it quite sticky and stringy. However, Batiste was definitely a game changer for me. It creates a damp, dewy look that other instant shampoos fail to do. Perfect for those travel days where you’re hopping on a last-minute flight or when you’re rushing to get to the airport at 5 am in the morning. |
Found this amazing product while studying abroad in London and was frantically looking for travel essentials the day before my Scotland trip. John Freida’s brilliant Brunette shampoo and conditioner, makes my colored hair manageable and creates a very sleek look without the help of any hair appliances. Highly recommended for short-weekend get away trips or low-maintenance traveling. |
A polaroid camera is a must for wherever you are traveling to. My instant mini 8+ allows me to pop it in my bag easily, due to it being pretty lightweight and small. The quality might not be the best when taking night shots in comparison to the fancy $200 polaroid cameras, but it does do its job in producing vivid photos and even has a selfie lens, which is very efficient during solo travel.
Whenever you get perfume samples from stores like Sephora and the like, I highly suggest saving them up for travel because trust me when I say, they WILL COME IN HANDY. My favorite that I always choose from Sephora’s free samples would be the Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb. High-end perfume, no matter how small the bottle/sample, still works like a million bucks. The bottle packaging is so convenient that you can just pop it in your pockets and would probably forget it when you throw your jeans in the washer.

Vaseline’s lip therapy and Jack Black’s Intense Therapy Lip Balm are my two must-haves when it comes to travel. The too-cute vaseline bottle made of cocoa butter is something I can whip out anywhere and anytime, without leaving an sticky residue on my fingers and keeps my lips smooth and glowing in a very subtle, natural way. Jack Black’s lip balm is a must-have when traveling to hot, tropical locations. The mint flavor will also definitely stop you from licking your lips too much and dehydrating them (which I tend to do a lot, believing that it could stop my thirsts whenever I find myself without any water). |

Incase laptop case is the ultimate case that I swear by. Despite it being quite pricey with prices that ranges from $60-$30, it certainly lives up to it. Fits my 13” Mac perfectly, it’s lightweight, and the fact that it’s also waterproof is a major bonus for clumsy clowns like me. The style is also simple and clean, which I love because I can carry it around in any sort of outfit and it’s suitable for any kind of occasion, whether it be for school or running between meetings. |
The Soltan sunscreen by Boots leaves the skin moisturized without any sticky residue. Definitely handy if you’re the type to run around and forget to put on sunscreen. Of course traveling without any sunshades is a sin, so I always have two pairs just in case (I accidentally like to sit on them and break them). The Hexagon Shades by Nasty Gal allows me to put a more edgy, indie twist to any sundress or if I want to stand out from the crowd from time to time. If it seems a bit too big for you, you can always rock it with some bold, defined eyebrows so it balances out your face. The smaller, rounder shaped sunglasses were something I picked up from a Forever 21 sale and it works with every and any outfit, so it’s definitely a pick-me-up with I’m having a bit of wardrobe blues.
